In 2023, installed nuclear power capacity corresponded to 5% of the Group's total installed capacity. Electricity production from nuclear power accounted for 14.1% of total production (excluding steam generation) and sales from nuclear power production are less than 3% of the Group's total sales.

Number of notified events by type according INES Scale*

Annual values depend much on the number of refueling outages within the year and are subjected to normal statistical fluctuations.

*Iberdrola joint value calculated on the events notified by nuclear power plants weighted by Iberdrola share power and ownership. Notified events according to the Safety Instructions IS-10 of the Nuclear Safety Council

Public Collective Dose IB Fleet (Public) (mSv*Person)

* Collective dose received by all the inhabitants of the population closest to the plant, weighted by Iberdrola's Power, considering that all the inhabitants have received the same dose as that of the critical individual (fictitious person who receives the maximum envelope dose of the of any person living in the area.) The dose received by the critical individual is calculated by the radiological protection services of each plant and is published in the monthly operating report, which is controlled by the regulator (CSN). people is obtained from the data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INE). The values depend on the number of recharges made in the year.

Collective dose (WANO CRE) (Workers) Sv-Person*

Variations of this indicator depend on the number and lenght of refueling outages within the year. Actions continue to be taken to optimize the collective dose

*Iberdrola joint value calculated on the WANO CRE indicators of nuclear power plants weighted by Iberdrola share power and ownership and considering its fuel cycle. Indicator does not take into account the Sta. Mª de Garoña NPP which it is not included in WANO  indicators since 2013.

Increase in 2015 value is due to AVANGRID operation (Ownership percentage has raised from 9 % to 15.5 % in Connecticut Yankee Atomic)

*Spent Fuel from Maine Yankee, Yankee Rowe and Connecticut Yankee is considered in this indicator. These spent fuel elements are stored in one ISFSI per site, waiting for USA Federal Government to remove it.
