Iberdrola seeks the safety and health of its employees, with the goal of reaching zero accidents and making workplaces increasingly healthier. To this end, we have a Strategic Plan for Occupational Health and Safety.

At the Iberdrola Group, we are global leaders in the development of electricity grids and renewable energy, thanks to the more than €175 billion we have invested since 2001. As part of our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we focus primarily on SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy, and we work to bring electricity to everyone and optimise energy use.

At the Iberdrola Group, we protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems in all the countries where we operate, thereby contributing directly to the achievement of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land. To this end, we take biodiversity conservation into account in the planning and subsequent implementation of all our activities.

At the Iberdrola Group, we promote eco-efficiency by reducing the environmental impact of all our activities, facilities, products and services. We are committed to sustainable mobility, efficiency in buildings and the enhancement of cultural heritage through sustainable lighting projects.

Iberdrola's Governance and Sustainability System is founded on ethics, transparency and best international practice in matters of good management, with the aim of defending the public interest and creating sustainable value for all its Stakeholders. The company supports a culture of zero tolerance towards corruption and fraud and promotes the study and dissemination of the principles of business and professional ethics.

At Iberdrola, we made 4,500 new hires in 2025, thus exceeding 45,400 total employees. In addition, the Group supports another 500,000 jobs at thousands of suppliers around the world through our purchases, which exceeded €13,2 billion in the year.

Iberdrola Group contributes directly to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6, clean water and sanitation, working towards rational and sustainable use of this essential resource and tackling the risks related to its scarcity. Thanks to these efforts, the company is currently one of the utilities with the best water productivity and, by 2030, it has committed to reducing the intensity of water use/production by 50% compared to 2019.

At Iberdrola, we are committed to achieving zero net loss of biodiversity by 2030. For this reason, our offshore wind power business has an Environmental Management System in all projects that includes specific procedures for managing risks to the marine environment.
