Iberdrola, the best company in EMEA in ESG information sharing

Iberdrola has been recognised as the best company in EMEA for ESG (environmental, social and governance) disclosure by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).

LACP has evaluated close to 1,000 annual reports (including in digital format) from companies from more than twenty countries around the world and has awarded Iberdrola the first place in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and the Gold award, with a score of 98 out of 100, for its digital space "Annual Integrated Annual Report and ESG Information 2023" in the category of "Print-Based Alternative Reports".

Also, for the second year in a row, the letter from the Executive Chairman, Ignacio Galán, was awarded the distinction of "Best Letter to Shareholders Worldwide".

Iberdrola has managed to maintain this digital space among the best in the LACP ranking, which has positively assessed it by giving it the Technical Achievement Award for improved accessibility and an innovative one page format, which allows easier navigation to all the relevant information on sustainability.

This organisation has also taken into account the effort to digitalise expanded ESG information with infographic material, which puts it in line with numerous recognised reporting standards in the field (IIRC, GRI, SASB, Global Compact, etc.).

A best practice recognised by LACP

As part of its commitment to transparency and sharing communications, Iberdrola makes available to its stakeholders a digital "ESG Information" space, which contains all the relevant information regarding its performance in the area of sustainability and the main associated financial metrics.

This online space, which complements the other documents published in their traditional format for the 2023 financial year: the Statement of Non-Financial Information – Sustainability Report, the Integrated Report, as well as other ESG information relevant to stakeholders, is a further demonstration of the company's leadership in ESG
