Iberdrola tops the transparency and good governance ranking prepared by the Haz Foundation with the Spanish Compliance Association (Ascom), which analyses compliance with those practices in Ibex 35 companies. This is the second consecutive time the company has been considered the most transparent of all the companies on the main Spanish stock market index.

The report 'Transparency and Good Governance in Ethics and Compliance Practices of IBEX 35 Companies', which contains the ranking, awards Iberdrola 28 points, three more than the next company, and particularly values its detailed 'Compliance System Transparency Report' [PDF], The Haz Foundation highlights that Iberdrola was "the first company" to publish an official document in this area and recognises its work to continue promoting public corporate communication.
 
The report also rewards the specific information provided by the company on training activities, which also include awareness-raising and educational actions.
 
The study includes the evaluation of 16 KPIs on the basis of which companies are classified into three categories from the highest to the lowest visibility of their public information: transparent (where Iberdrola is located), translucent and opaque. In this fourth report, two new indicators have been included that require companies to detail the economic and human resources allocated to the compliance area as well as the measures adopted based on the queries and complaints received through the ethics channel.
