Iberdrola deploys 73 line crews in the eastern United States to deal with damage caused by Hurricane Helene

Iberdrola's US subsidiary Avangrid's distributors in New York (NYSEG and RG&E), Connecticut (UI) and Maine (CMP) have deployed 200 line and damage assessment professionals to respond to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene and support efforts to restore power to communities in Virginia and North Carolina.

This Category 4 hurricane entered the southeast coast of Florida last Thursday night with winds of 225 kilometres per hour, and made its way north, with torrential rains and winds that have caused devastating scenes that rescue and recovery teams are still working on today.
