Iberdrola, through its US subsidiary Avangrid, has been included on USA Today's America's Climate Leaders 2024 list. For the second consecutive year, Avangrid has been recognised by this list, which includes the top 450 companies in the United States that have achieved the greatest reduction in their primary emissions intensity (Scopes 1 and 2) between 2020 and 2022.

This recognition from USA Today is a testament to its commitment and dedication to building a cleaner planet’.

Avangrid has a firm commitment to achieve carbon neutrality in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, aligned with Iberdrola's emissions targets, which are certified by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
