The Embassy of Finland visits Iberdrola's hub in Bilbao

Sari Rautio, the Finnish Ambassador to Spain, visited Iberdrola's Global Smart Grids Innovation Hub in Bilbao. The GSGIH is the company's global headquarters for smart grids.

The ambassador, accompanied by a trade delegation from the country and the Honorary Consul of Finland in Bilbao, Carolina Pérez Toledo, were received by Asís Canales, Iberdrola’s Global Director of Resources and Services, and Estíbaliz Goñi, Director of Processes and Technology at i-DE –the Iberdrola Group’s distributor– and visited the facilities of the hub where they learned about Iberdrola’s advances in innovation, digitisation and electrification. 

Finland is one of the most digitised countries in the world. Around 85.6% of SMEs have digital skills in artificial intelligence or data analysis above the European average.
