The state of Connecticut will have a new offshore wind farm now that Iberdrola has been awarded the Park City Wind project. The 804 MW wind farm will supply 14 percent of the state's electricity and avoid emitting more than 25 million tonnes of carbon.
Iberdrola, through Avangrid Renewables, is participating in the development of an offshore wind farm close to the Outer Banks, off the Virginia and North Carolina coasts (USA). The wind farm will have a total estimated installed capacity of 3,500 MW and will provide 700,000 households with clean energy.

Iberdrola, through its subsidiary Avangrid, is constructing the first large-scale offshore wind energy facility in the United States, located off the coast of the state of Massachusetts.
