Fighting against cancer, combating gender violence or violence against women, campaigns to fight childhood maladies... We put on the table social action initiatives to support people who are suffering, having into account their integration and their quality of life.

More than two decades ago, Iberdrola paved the way towards clean energy and took the first steps towards a more sustainable and responsible energy model. Now, the company is also paving the way to equality through sport. We have been promoting women's sport for years as a way of improving the recognition of women in society and promoting their empowerment and autonomy.
At the Iberdrola Group, we contribute to society by creating wealth and social development. Along these lines, we promote effective equality between men and women in access to employment, training, promotion, and working conditions. We also provide support to workers with disabilities, facilitating labour integration and we promote diversity and social inclusion of vulnerable groups.

Approximately 10% of the world's population, namely around 650 million people, suffer from some form of disability (UN). This figure will only increase due to demographic growth and the ageing population. The transport industry is working hard to ensure their mobility is not a further limitation.
Iberdrola seeks the safety and health of its employees, with the goal of reaching zero accidents and making workplaces increasingly healthier. To this end, we have a Strategic Plan for Occupational Health and Safety.

Iberdrola group contributes directly to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6, clean water and sanitation, working towards rational and sustainable use of this essential resource and tackling the risks related to its scarcity. Thanks to these efforts, the company is currently one of the utilities with the best water productivity and, by 2030, it has committed to reducing the intensity of water use/production by 50 % compared to 2019.
As part of its commitment to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, Iberdrola Group is committed to quality, inclusive and equitable education. Achieving this goal requires encouraging lifelong learning opportunities for everyone.
