Iberdrola has begun the procedures for the development of the second of its wind projects in Cantabria, the new El Escudo wind farm. This infrastructure, once operational, will generate enough clean energy to supply a population equivalent to 95,350 homes and will prevent the emission into the atmosphere of 45,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
Iberdrola Group has built the Oitis onshore wind farm complex in Brazil. Consisting of 12 wind farms, the new development has a total installed capacity of 566.5 MW, which makes it the largest onshore wind farm project in Latin America and the second largest in the world.

The Iberdrola Group is developing its third offshore wind farm in the Baltic, Windanker, with an installed capacity of 315 MW. The company is thus strengthening the Baltic Hub, which will add more than 1,100 MW of installed capacity.
This offshore wind farm, commissioned in 2024, has a total installed capacity of 496 megawatts (MW), capable of generating enough clean energy for 835,000 people.

The state of Connecticut will have a new offshore wind farm now that Iberdrola has been awarded the Park City Wind project. The 804 MW wind farm will supply 14 percent of the state's electricity and avoid emitting more than 25 million tonnes of carbon.
Iberdrola, through Avangrid Renewables, is participating in the development of an offshore wind farm close to the Outer Banks, off the Virginia and North Carolina coasts (USA). The wind farm will have a total estimated installed capacity of 3,500 MW and will provide 700,000 households with clean energy.
