Energy group Neoenergia* — Iberdrola's Brazilian subsidiary — launched an initial public offering (IPO). The company, which operates in 18 Brazilian states and supplies 34 million people with electricity, reached a net income of 7.104 billion Brazilian reals in the first quarter of 2019, 28.1% more during the same period last year.

On 25 September 2018 the 'El País' newspaper published an interview with the Chairman and CEO of Iberdrola, Ignacio Galán, on his participation in the UN Global Compact 2018 in New York (USA). Galán acknowledged his satisfaction that a Spanish company has been acknowledged for its work in combating global warming.
The Iberdrola Group's direct tax contribution worldwide amounted to nearly 9.3 billion euros last year, 24% more than in 2022, which represents the payment of more than one million euros per hour. This is reflected in the Fiscal Transparency Report 2023, prepared by the company for the sixth consecutive year.
