Our distributed electricity sets its quarterly record in 2025, reaching 62,577 GWh

Renewable energy

Iberdrola's renewable generation during the first three months of the year reached 25,222 GWh, 5% more than the same period last year. Meanwhile, the Group's total renewable capacity stands at 44.675 MW.

We reached maximums in electricity distributed by the Iberdrola Group at the end of the first quarter of 2025, reaching 62,577 GWh, according to the energy balance sheet data [PDF] presented on 11 April to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). This good operational performance of the networks business is due to the growth in electricity demand in all the areas where the company operates, such as Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States and Brazil, as well as the greater electrification of the economy.

On the other hand, renewable generation reached 25,222 GWh, which represents an increase of 4.9% over the same period last year, with production increases in Brazil (+24.6%) and the United States (+8.3%) standing out.

Furthermore, the company has installed 2,511 MW of renewable energy in the last twelve months, bringing the group's total renewable capacity to 44,675 MW. During this period, the emblematic Saint-Brieuc offshore wind project in Brittany, France (496 MW) was brought into operation.

About the Iberdrola Group capacity map

The Iberdrola facility map is an interactive way of viewing the company's main global operating data: the installed capacity of each technology, net electricity production and other data including distributed power, supply points and the group's customers in all the countries in which we operate.

The information on this map is updated every quarter, based on the results for the period, and it breaks down the installed capacity in each country and region according to the electricity generation technologies operated by the group: renewables (onshore wind, offshore wind, hydroelectric, mini-hydraulic, battery storage, solar and others); nuclear; combined cycle and cogeneration.

Sustainable energy model

At Iberdrola we are 20 years ahead of the energy transition to address the need for an energy model based on sustainability and innovation.
